I am currently a project manager for the Public Buildings Service in the General Services Administration (GSA). The Public Building Service manages U.S. federal properties and lease spaces for other federal agencies. As a project manager I work in the MN/WI technical team to identify project needs, research solutions, create project documentation, oversee construction, and inspect the final product.

Prior to this position I completed a Bachelors and Master of Architecture Degree at the University of Minnesota and have worked as a project designer and energy analyst for a wind farm developer, in project support for a non profit, and as a researcher for a non profit and a sustainability consultant.

I am currently completing the dissertation for a Masters of Science in Architecture in Sustainable Design at the University of Minnesota that is researching the impact of green building on municipal sustainable performance, the prevalence of cities with municipal green building policies, and the most adopted and innovative strategies of those cities.

Apart from work and my MS degree I am interested in the repurposing of existing buildings and how their design and communities respond to new transit systems including an electric vehicle stock, new mass transit systems, and bicyclists.

Outside of school Im an avid traveler, camper, and baseball fan. In the last few years I have taken trips to Chicago, New York, Philidelphia, and Washington D.C. enjoying museums, landmarks, and entertainment venues. In 2009 I went winter camping with friends and my sister to Zion and Bryce Canyon, enjoying the unique landscape existing at both and am currently planning backcountry trips to the Badlands and the Appalacian Mountain Trail. Traveling to various cities provides me the chance to learn about our historical past and various cultures, and trips to our national parks provides the ability to step away from modern life for a few days, enjoying days of exploring our environmental preserves.
